Our Haiti Teams have been a great success. . Scott Forbes had been coordinating efforts in the States to supply Logistical support for all Om Ma Ni missions. We are currently assessing the situation on the ground to determine where our resource will be best placed for future missions to Haiti. Our Grief Trauma folks are doing a great job with our Haitian brothers and sisters. Update:01-24-10 Om Ma Ni in currently engaging in a relief effort for the Orphans in Duverger Haiti. Tyler Whidy has joined forces with Om Ma Ni and is bringing a fresh face and determination to our current and future Missions. John kish has joined the team at Om Ma Ni bringing with him vast amounts of experience as a Pilot. We appreciate his support and look forward to his assistance throughout this Mission. Thanks Guys !!!!!!
UPDATE: 02-19-2010 Om ma Ni is currently soliciting donations of used UHF/VHF radio equipment. our plan of action is to equip a group of villages and an Orphanage in the SW mountains in Haiti with communication equipment. We have determined that with limited communication they are hindered at responding to local crisis with any sense of urgency. Once we have installed the radio equipment and trained personnel in its usage, They will be able to successfully set up their own "community Police group" as well as assist other villages in time of need with a much quicker response time. I personally fell that with this internal reaction capability the people of this remote region will have a much better chance of success when dealing with a local crisis. i feel that security will be greatly improved and they will be able to assist each other when facing any of the numerous monthly problems these Folks encounter. We would like to spend more time in Haiti and train local personnel in Emergency responder techniques, Medical assist as well as physical security of their Villages. Haiti is an ongoing operation for Om ma Ni international. Funding will always be an issue but we feel that we can help make a difference with these People. We look forward to all the input and suggestions that we receive as well as your volunteer support.

Om Ma Ni International Inc. has recently received a donation of medical supplies so our relief team associates in the Field can bring help to some desperate people. Currently "Rajh" Hartman is in India working with contacts from Humanitarian organizations abroad. Our contacts in Pakistan are hopeful for some supplies that can safely get to the people in need. As in any Disaster scenario, the desperation of the people affected can cause activities that are counter productive to our missions but with the right mindfulness and determination from our Associates on ground we are sure to have great success.
